Javanese Traditional market

Javanese people in the traditional market have shopping for their daily needs on certain days.They will not go to market everyday because the market in the villages open only certain days .
The market usually will be open and busy once on seven days.They call the market with the name of “Pasaran”days namely Legi,Pahing,pon,wage and Kliwon.They are five days for javanese people.The Javanese people call the days as “ dina limo.Besides they also use 7 days: Senin,Selasa,Rebo,Kemis,Jemuah,sabtu and Minggu.
They will combine those days into one unit like, senin legi,selasa pahing,Rebo Pon,and so on.So when The market is open on kliwon day,the villagers will go to market .Moreover they won’t go to the market on Legi,Pahing,Pon and Wage.They call the market as “Pasar Kliwon”.You know then pasar means market.
